Weather in Copenhagen varies with mildly warm summers and extremely cold and windy winters. Summers bring in festivals and crowds of people flood the streets whereas winters send everyone into hibernation and the city shuts down early.
Although, December is peak holiday season when the streets will be packed with Danes and travelers alike flaunting their santa and elf attire. If you're not big on crowds, you can always visit Copenhagen during spring time when the weather is slightly colder than summer, but much warmer than winter and less people are roaming.
Summers usually range in the mid 60s where winters in Denmark drop to high 30s. No matter what time of year you are visiting, always be prepared with warm clothes because the weather here can fluctuate greatly.
