Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Seattle. On arrival in Seattle make your own way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax. You could head to Kerry Park for a view of the iconic Seattle skyline and the distant Mount Rainier - a sight that's particularly impressive at sunset.

Spend the day relaxing at the foot of the mountains amid the tranquillity of Lake Crescent. Activity options here include kayaking, boating, hiking and biking as you explore the driftwood-strewn beaches and moss-draped rainforests. Search for the distinctive red cryst...

Leave Glacier National Park and head through the hills and forests of western Montana and Idaho to the city of Spokane in Washington State. The journey takes around five and a half hours, but is a scenic one as you pass through several forests, stopping along the way to take photographs and enjoy the scenery.
Travel three and a half hours west from Spokane to the historic mining town of Winthrop. The town enjoys a magnificent location on the scenic Cascade Loop near North Cascades National Park. Set in the Methow Valley, you can go walking in search of some of the area's wildlife, which includes mule deer, otters, coyotes and a variety of birdlife.
Relax in Winthrop and soak up its Old West atmosphere. We definitely suggest spending most of today exploring the spectacular mountain scenery, whether hiking, biking, fishing or golfing.
Head north for five and a half hours, skirting forests, mountains and lakes, to arrive in the suitably named Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park. The afternoon is free to go walking or hire a bicycle or canoe to explore this beautiful mountain setting.
Spend this morning exploring Mount Rainier National Park further before driving two and a half hours back to Seattle this afternoon. Here you can drop off your hire car before making your own way to the airport in time for your onward flight.
Arrive home today to complete your journey.
