Style Style Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

Having done some very basic Via Ferrata I thought this trip sounded
interesting. I was a little apprehensive having injured my knee 10 weeks
before and, approaching 70, wondered if the trip might be too ambitious.
In the event I had no problems coping with the activities and the trip
exceeded expectations.
We did the hardest day on the third day as the weather was most favourable. A
very exhilarating trip and certainly the most technically difficult. So a
great sense of achievement.

Absolutely fine.

You must have a head for heights and a couple of the climbs are tough so long
distance mountain walking experience will help. In my case my cycling fitness
was sufficient.

A fantastic group of 8 (5 male / 3 female) with a good age spread from 30 ish
to 70. We all got on exceptionally well and, on our free day, 7 of us hired
bikes and cycled into Austria where we all went downhill on a summer
toboggan. Then all 8 had our evening meal together at a local restaurant.

Everything was seamless. The balance was excellent: two days hiking, a day of
Pompeii and Herculeneum, a hike, an optional day in Capri or Naples, and a
closing hike. The hotel and its staff were welcoming. The views are stunning
in Amalfi, and when you look back at where you came from you are amazed that
you did it. I travelled to and from Agerola off the Exodus schedule and the
hotel arranged it perfectly.
Our guide rescued an abandoned pup that we found on a hike. He made the
effort to carry the pup until we came to someone who knew where it likely
came from, and took over.

First class. Sevario was enthusiastic, well prepared, indulgent of perhaps
too many questions, made an effort to encourage people in difficult terrain,
helped rescue one of our group who stumbled off the trail and fell down a
steep slope, and led someone with vertigo through challenging terrain.
I never expected that he would be with the group from morning till late in
the evening.

Take the trip. Amalfi is breathtakingly beautiful.
The walks in some cases are probably a little more difficult than advertised,
but most of our group was 60+, and if you are reasonably fit you will have no
trouble.

This week endorses the many positive reviews already posted. It is a perfect
mix of incredible scenery, just challenging enough walks, a lovely homely
hotel, lots of variety in the week's programme and excursions, great food,
and we were lucky to enjoy a fun group of people from England, Canada and our
own New Zealand. Our guide Severio was fun, knowledgeable, thoughtful and
supportive - especially when we needed to seek local medical assistance. The
hotel staff are family and fabulous. Do it - it will be an experience you
will never forget!
So many - the "Walk of the Gods"of course, the slog up the local three peaks
mountain, Positano, Capri and hiking to the summit of Vesuvio.

Couldn't ask for better! Severio was the perfect leader in every sense, good
humoured, diplomatic when required, and knowledgable - and patient with our
appalling ignorance of Greek mythology!

Go prepared for the trails to be a little more demanding than the "2" rating
would suggest. We thought this was probably a "3" because of some long uphill
slogs and long stair descents. In hot weather it is taxing enough for we
oldies! You need to have a reasonably good level of fitness and good knees to
really enjoy the week. We did!

This as our first Exodus trip. we would happily book another similar walking
tour.

This trip was lived up to the billing in the trip notes in every way:
excellent hotel with attentive staff and excellent food; excellent walks and
free day options; and luckily for us, excellent weather.
All the walks had their moments, as did the optional excursions. I hesitate
to pick one.

Severio could not have done more for us. An excellent guide.

The steps can be tough, and although the days are shorter than a full Cat 3
holiday, in my opinion some of the gradients and terrain merit that rating.
The Trip Notes say it all, so be prepared.

This was our 11th Exodus holiday and we're always asked which was our
favourite. The answer is several, and this was well up there with them.
