Itinerary
Fly into Istanbul, where an arrival airport transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. There are no activities planned today until the afternoon group meeting, but don't let that stop you heading out to explore all that this captivating city has to offer.
Travel out to Amasra, considered one of the most attractive towns Turkey's side of the Black Sea. Set out on a guided tour of the city, checking out an ancient citadel, covered bazaar and Byzantine church. As evening sets in, your trip leader will recommend a tea garden by the base of the castle walls to settle back at and enjoy the sunset.
Arrive in Safranbolu, a world heritage site so-designated for its collection of traditional buildings. Evocative of the Ottoman era with its timber houses and craftsmen turning their trades, a wander through this town really gives the sense of stepping back in time.
In the old town of Amasya, discover traditional Ottoman houses and other historical buildings as well as ancient tombs carved into sheer rock.
This morning, drive to Sivas and explore the impressive Seljuk archaeological sites of Çifte Minare Medressa and Gök Medressa.
Today, we visit some of the most famous monuments and sites of Sivas
Visit the village of Darende and walk to the waterfalls at Günpinar.
Visit Mount Nemrut National Park and discover the colossal head-statues dedicated to King Antiochus and the Greek and Armenian gods.
A long travel day but it is worth the journey as we get our first glimpse of fairy chimneys. Cappadocia fascinates all travellers. Shaped by wind and water, its otherworldly rock formations have to be seen to be believed. Rock hewn churches, cave homes and incredible underground cities wait to be explored
Explore the lunar-like landscapes of Cappadocia. Walk through the valleys and see the cave dwellings, rock-cut churches and an elaborate underground city.
Today you will enjoy a short walk through the Ihlara Valley this morning. After your walk, you will visit Belisirma, a tiny and picturesque village in the region of Cappadocia. Then drive on to the religious hub of Konya in the afternoon.
Visit Mevlana's Mausoleum, home of the ‘whirling dervishes’. Drive to the coastal city of Antalya.
This morning we visit the Antalya Museum. This afternoon is free for you to explore the ancient Kaleici To make the most of this wonderful coastal city, we recommend you book additional accommodation in Antalya. This tour will come to an end at approximately 6pm

Tour Operator
It’s been more than 36 years since our first small group set out to discover Nepal. It’s this heritage and our reputation that keeps travellers coming back time and time again.
We appeal to the well-travelled, discerning traveller. The one who chooses value over price, and wants to immerse themselves in a place instead of just ticking landmarks off a bucket list. The type of person who would rather stay in a family run B&B built in a 16th century Venetian convent than a forgettable hotel. We’re for travellers who want inclusions along the way instead of fiddling around for loose change.
Almost 20 years ago, Peregrine led an industry revolution by solely employing locally born leaders. This innovative approach gives our travellers a deeper insight into the countries they visit. Doorways are opened and a true understanding of the place is fostered.
At Peregrine, we travel in intimate groups and take the time to get under the skin of a destination. Of course we all want to see the Taj Mahal in India. But imagine then heading to a remote Rajasthani village and learning about rural life while in the company of locals. Seeing the famous sites is a must, but it’s often the memory of wandering through a small village or sharing dinner with a local family that will leave a lasting impact.
We promise to share our knowledge and expertise with you, and ensure you will come home with stories you will tell for years to come.

‘Comfort travel’ means encountering all that the real world has to offer, but with an added degree of, well… comfort. We use more private transport, the travel pace more relaxed, the accommodation a touch nicer. And by paying a little more up front, you’ll be treated to more included meals, more leader-led activities and get a greater immersion in all things local.
