Day 9: PHNOM PENH / The Killing Fields Remembered

Today, revisit one of the darkest periods in Cambodian history on a somber walk through the killing fields at Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng prison. After lunch back on board, enjoy another afternoon at leisure to explore Phnom Penh or simply relax.

Day 10: CHAU DOC / Crossing Into Vietnam

Note the change in architectural styles on shore as you cross into Vietnam via the Mekong River. Visit the picturesque river village of Chau Doc by Vietnamese sampan and stop at domed Tay An Pagoda.

Day 11: SA DEC / Local Market Visit

Board a sampan once again for a ride through the Mekong Delta to Sa Dec, and walk through a bustling, local market. After lunch back on board, you will disembark in Cai Be for a visit to a rice factory where rice paper, wine, and candies are made. Proceed to My Tho.

Day 12: HO CHI MINH CITY / Beautiful Quan Am Pagoda

Disembark ‘Mekong Navigator’ and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. Visit Quan Am Pagoda, to view its colorfully decorated garden, pond, courtyard and interior. Later, stroll the teeming Binh Tay Market. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
