Day 1: Arrive Dublin and Afternoon Sightseeing

Embrace your playful side and indulge in the allure of the lively Irish capital - a small city with a lot of heart and yours to explore before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travellers this afternoon for a sightseeing tour with your Local Specialist. View St. Patrick's Cathedral, the stately Georgian Squares and Trinity College. We spend this evening at the Glasnevin Trust for a Welcome Reception with a Local Specialist. Over drinks and canapés, we'll hear about the brave characters from Ireland's recent history and toast to our upcoming journey through the Emerald Isle.Welcome Reception

Day 2: Dublin – Belfast

Leaving the cosmopolitan streets of Dublin behind, we travel to Northern Ireland and the bustling city of Belfast, where you will have some free time to enjoy a spud for lunch or perhaps some fish and chips. Later, we meet our Local Specialist 'Cabbie' for an insider view of the city's living history during a journey through its vibrant streets in a real Black Cab. We spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, or perhaps join an Optional Experience.Full Breakfast

Day 3: Belfast – Giant’s Causeway – Londonderry/Derry (2 Nights)

The tragic story of the Titanic and the thousands of passengers that lost their lives takes centre stage on this morning's Cultural Insight visit to the award-winning Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre. We leave the city behind us, journeying through the beautiful Antrim coast road, past scenic glens and rugged beaches, arriving at Giant's Causeway to walk in the footsteps of Finn MacCool. Take some time to admire the natural spectacle of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns before journeying to Londonderry, our home for the next two nights.Full Breakfast

Day 4: Londonderry/Derry Sightseeing

Join your Local Specialist for a walk along the 17th century city walls and see the turbulent Bogside neighbourhood with its street murals depicting the history of the 'Troubles'. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Walk along the pretty River Foyle and across the Peace Bridge, or consider joining an Optional Experience to the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula with its rich history. This evening we dine at our hotel.Full Breakfast, Dinner

We meander through the lush countryside to Belleek Pottery where we'll enjoy a Cultural Insight demonstration and watch talented craftsmen create exquisite collectables that have graced homes since the mid-19th century. Arrive in Galway later enjoying free time to explore its imposing stone Cathedral or stroll through Eyre Square, which John F. Kennedy visited in 1963.Full Breakfast

Day 6: Connemara Excursion

The rugged beauty of Connemara was captured in the film 'The Quiet Man' with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, and its loughs and mountains are yours to explore today during a scenic drive. We arrive at Kylemore Abbey later to visit the country's most romantic castle and ramble through the hidden nooks of its Victorian walled garden before returning to Galway for dinner at our hotel tonight. Full Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7: Galway – Cliffs of Moher – Shannon Estuary Ferry – Co. Kerry (2 Nights)

See the imposing sheer Cliffs of Moher rise up 700 feet from the pounding sea below and learn about the history of these natural phenomena with a visit to the 'Atlantic Edge' exhibition. We join Oonagh and scavenge for ingredients that will be used to create our unique Be My Guest lunch at the O'Brien's homely Barrtra Seafood restaurant along the world famous Wild Atlantic Way. Enjoy spectacular views of the dramatic coastline before boarding a ferry across the tranquil River Shannon estuary. Then continue through beautiful County Kerry to our hotel in Killarney, where we'll have an evening at leisure to soak up the craic at a traditional Irish ceilidh.Full Breakfast, Be My Guest Dining

Day 8: Ring of Kerry Excursion

The breathtaking landscapes of Iveragh Peninsula provide a mesmerising backdrop for our scenic coastal drive around the 'Ring of Kerry' - an unimaginably beautiful natural setting that is among Ireland's most magical and memorable. Day 9: Co. Kerry – Blarney – Waterford – Kilkenny

Today we acquire the 'gift of the gab' bending over backwards to kiss the Blarney Stone before we travel to Waterford via Youghal. After waiting for 3 years we were finally scheduled to go to Ireland but 8 days before our trip we were informed that they had changed their vaccination policy and we couldn’t go. They refunded our money which they had for three years but although we requested a check, they refunded to a charge account that had been paid off so we only got a credit on a card we no longer use. Not to mention loss of airfares and hotel charges. We are so disappointed with their cavalier attitude and unprofessionalism.

We just went on Iconic Ireland and Ashford Castle and had a wonderful time. This was our first bus tour and we didn't know quite what to expect, however, we couldn't have had a more perfect time. Ireland is a beautiful country and we were stunned and thrilled with all the beauty we were able to see. The hotels were great - some definitely better than others but all were comfortable. My only complaint was that our last hotel had no ac and Ireland was experiencing a heat wave so the fan didn't help very much. That wasn't anyone's fault and I just went with the flow. Barbara (our guide) and Marina (our driver) were great and genuinely seemed to be concerned with everyone's comfort. The grande finale of Ashford Castle was incredible. Such a beautiful place and to be able to stay a night there was incredible. I ended up doing the Hawk Walk and horseback riding and I would recommend both - especially the hawk walk to anyone - I think people who are good riders would probably get to do more than we did but it was still great. I would recommend Brendan and this trip to anyone. Perfect amount of down time and activity. Loved it!

My husband and I recently went to Ireland on a Brendan Vacations tour...first tour we've even been on...and it was fabulous! From start to finish everything about the trip was perfect. Frances O'Doherty our Tour Director and Hugo our driver made this trip exceptional and unforgettable. Hugo's driving skills are phenomenal!! Frances is the sweetest, warmest, friendliest and most organized individual you'll ever meet. She is so knowledgeable about all things Irish and has a way of imparting that knowledge in a memorable and special way. I was a little nervous about staying in a different hotel every night and being on the go every minute but it was glorious. Our luggage was always handled for us, hotel check-ins were done in advance so we never had to go through check-in ourselves, meal vouchers and exhibit tickets were all prepared in advance, etc. It was totally seamless for everyone on the tour. It was a large group but we all became the best of friends by the end of the trip. We will definitely use Brendan Vacations in the future and highly recommend them to anyone interested in tour travel!!!

I just returned from an amazing trip with Brendan vacations. We booked a private chauffeur as we traveled from Dublin to the West of Ireland. Our driver's name was Seamus MacTiernan and he was an excellent guide as we traveled over 2500 miles seeing the sites and visiting family in very rural area. We could not have accomplished all that we did without Seamus. He was a pleasure to be with and his hospitality and excellent service made our trip a pleasure. We could not have seen as much as we did without him and we knew from the onset of out trip that we had the right person and perfect schedule I highly recommend a personal driver and indeed Seamus himself if you are ever in Ireland as you maximize your time and it is a hassle free vacation plus you eliminate the stress of driving. Thanks Seamus...it was a pleasure getting to know you!
