Itinerary

Day 1 Split

Welcome to Split, Croatia. Your luggage can be dropped off at this ship from noon, so feel free to explore Split at your leisure before boarding commences at 5 pm, when you’ll meet your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting and safety briefing. This evening, sit down to your first group dinner on board before overnighting in port.

Day 2 Split – Krka National Park

After a leisurely breakfast on board, head off on a guided tour of Split with your local guides. Explore the laneways and squares that make up the beautiful old town and hear the stories of conquerors and sieges then enjoy lunch at your leisure in one of the old town's lovely al fresco eateries. In the afternoon, take a private bus transfer to Krka National Park then board a small boat for some cruising and exploring within the park. The park spans two thirds of the Krka River, and some 142 square kilometres – visit some of the gorgeous waterfalls for which this park is renowned, stopping for a refreshing swim or two along the way. Afterwards, return by bus to Split, and dinner on board the Dalmatia.

Day 3 Split – Hvar

Set sail for the island of Hvar, enjoying breakfast on board. Stop to swim in the waters of the Adriatic at a secluded beach close to Stari Grad – Hvar's Old Town. Arrive in Stari Grad around midday and look across one of Europe's oldest towns while lunching on board the Dalmatia. Next, take a bus to explore the island known as the 'Queen of the Dalmatian Islands'. Visit a nearby farm and try local produce before enjoying a walk through the nearby lavender fields. Afterwards, drive to Hvar town for an orientation walk with your leader, then enjoy free time to explore. Return to Stari Grad and dine at a local restaurant of your choosing. Overnight in Hvar (Stari Grad).

Day 4 Hvar – Opuzen

Set sail early towards Opuzen, breakfasting on board and then stopping for a spot of swimming. Enjoy lunch on board as you sail up the Neretva river towards Opuzen. On arrival, jump into small wooden boats for a leisurely cruise through the surrounding wetlands (with local snacks and music on board). End up at a beautiful local restaurant overlooking the water for Peka lamb and other local dishes then board the boats and return to Opuzen. This evening, you may like to venture out to the friendly bars around the town square to meet the locals.

Day 5 Opuzen – Mostar

It’s an early start this morning as you make your way to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina by minibus. Take a tour with a local guide, visiting a workshop specialising in traditional coffee sets and copper wall carvings. Afterwards enjoy some free time to explore the town and have lunch at your leisure. Return to the ship in the early afternoon and set sail for Trpanj. On arrival, visit the Matusko winery for a wine tasting and tour of the vineyards before a barbecue dinner on the deck of the Peregrine Dalmatia. Overnight in Trpani.

Day 6 Korcula

After breakfast on board, enjoy a mid-morning swim stop in beautiful clear turquoise waters of Loviste in the Peljesac peninsula. Return to the ship and set sail for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, with lunch on the way. This afternoon, join your leader for an orientation tour of the town. This evening you’ll be spoiled for choice with many restaurants overlooking the waterfront – ask your leader for their recommendations. Overnight in the port of Korcula.

Day 7 Korcula – Dubrovnik

Leave early this morning and cruise to Dubrovnik, stopping mid-morning for a swim near the island of Jakljan. Take your lunch on board before arriving in Dubrovnik in the early afternoon where you’ll join a local guide to explore this beautiful walled city. This evening enjoy a farewell four-course dinner with the captain and your travelling companions on board the Dalmatia.

Day 8 Dubrovnik

Your small ship adventure cruise along the Dalmatian coast ends after breakfast.

they are 'fair weather friends'
I did not receive so much as an email advising of changes in the cancellation policy, discovered when I contacted them to cancel.
I now receive automated emails/msgs as I attempt to work through this.
The email states I may contact them on 31 July to discuss the matter!....4 months away.
I'm absolutely stunned by how shoddy this outfit is....who knew?!
Out of pocket $4000.

Sri Lanka

We recently completed the Jewels of Sri Lanka tour starting on 22 December 2019.

Our adventure in Sri Lanka with Peregrine tours was an absolute pleasure. Our guide Opasiri (Siri) apart from being knowledgeable and articulate in all aspects of his country and it’s history was also a genuinely nice bloke.

His helpfulness and sincere want to ensure all his guests on the tour were accommodated was a credit to him. He continually bent over backwards to ensure everyone had the best possible experience.

At this point we would like to say a personal Thankyou to Siri for making our stay in Sri Lanka a treasured memory.

All our destination points were of immense interest, either in religious, cultural or environmental aspects. We found the Sri Lankan people to be friendly, open and hospitable.

Highlights included seeing leopards in the wild, visiting Buddhist temples that are centuries old with such well preserved artefacts, ancient kingdoms, a beautiful train ride through the countryside and of course the amazing scenery of the central highlands.

Our recommendation for anyone wanting to explore Sri Lanka as we did is to go with Peregrine as you will not be disappointed. The hotel accommodation on all our overnight stays was to an excellent standard, the food is without question a gastronomic delight, with local “Lion” beer to an international standard.

A big istuti (thank you) Peregrine, Siri and his crew for giving us a wonderful and unforgettable Sri Lankan experience, we will be back.

Guides

On your voyage, as well as the ship and hospitality crew, there will be between 1 and 3 local tour leaders (depending on the total number of passengers). These leaders will be with you on board the ship, and on all included shore activities. They will have good general knowledge of the areas you are passing through including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects, as well as being able to recommend great local eating venues for your on shore meals and what you might like to do with your free time (when you're not relaxing and enjoying the ship's facilities).
