Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVE DENVER

Welcome to the Mile High City. Nestled between the High Plains and the majestic Rockies, Denver entices visitors and locals alike with sunny blue skies and snowcapped peaks. After settling in at your hotel, head out on your own to take in some of Denver's attractions. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. Welcome Reception Hotel Holiday Inn Select Denver Cherry Creek Hotel

Day 2 DENVER – VAIL – MOAB (2 NIGHTS)

Head toward the mountains this morning as you ascend into the foothills of the Rockies and cross the Continental Divide on your way to the resort destination of Vail. Founded in 1966 at the base of the largest ski mountain in the United States, this pretty alpine village has an old-world feel that attracts outdoor enthusiasts. Then it's on to Moab where, in the late 1940s, the legendary John Ford discovered the area's rugged beauty and filmed the first of many movies here. Tonight is yours - perhaps opt for taking in the sunset over the red cliffs. If you're in the mood for more excitement, try a jet boat ride along the mighty Colorado River with a dinner. Full Breakfast Hotel BW Plus Canyonlands Inn

Day 3 CANYONLANDS AND ARCHES NATIONAL PARKS EXCURSION

Today, embark on a journey to explore two National Parks. Discover stunning Canyonlands National Park and visit magnificent Arches National Park where the wind and rain have eroded the sandstone into more than 2,000 natural arches. Wander through a kaleidoscope of geologic time as you watch the light play upon the ancient, multi-hued stone. Enjoy the rest of the day to discover on your own. Full Breakfast

Day 4 MOAB – MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK – MONUMENT VALLEY

Travel south this morning through a mesmerising landscape dotted with natural arches and rock formations, framed by the jagged Rockies in the distance. Crossing back into Colorado, skirt the edge of the San Juan National Forest before arriving at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mesa Verde National Park. Between 600 and 1300 A.D., the Ancestral Puebloan people carved houses and entire communities out of the sandstone along the canyon walls. Explore some of the cliff-top buildings and look down at the massive Cliff House, the largest cliff dwelling in the world; then spend some time learning about the culture and traditions of this once-great civilisation. This evening, enjoy a unique Navajo cookout Regional Meal in Monument Valley before returning to your hotel. Full Breakfast Regional Meal Hotel Goulding's Lodge

Day 5 MONUMENT VALLEY – GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK

This morning, after a tour of the Monument Valley floor in an open-air vehicle, wind your way through the ancestral home of the Navajo people, stopping at Cameron Trading Post to browse through handicrafts and maybe enjoy some tasty fry bread. This afternoon, follow scenic Desert View Drive before arriving at the Grand Canyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immerse yourself in the stunning panoramic views from the South Rim. This afternoon, meet with a Local Specialist who will walk you through the geologic life of the canyon and enjoy the chance to examine the multi-coloured rocks from different eras of the canyon's formation. Toast your grand adventure and your new lifelong memories at a Farewell inside the park. Full Breakfast Farewell Hotel National Park Lodges

Day 6 GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK – LAS VEGAS

Rise early to catch the first rays of light as they illuminate the canyon. Perhaps take an optional helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft flightseeing trip to view the canyon from the sky. Hit the road again, stopping along famed Route 66 hot spots, Seligman and Kingman. Driving through these desert oases is like cruising back in time to see the classic motels, diners and gas stations of a simpler time. Then it's full speed ahead to glittering Las Vegas. Full Breakfast Hotel Tropicana Las Vegas

Day 7 DEPART LAS VEGAS

This morning, a transfer is provided to Las Vegas International Airport or perhaps choose to extend your stay at the SLS Las Vegas. Full Breakfast

I’ve traveled to over 30 foreign countries. This is the first time I’ve tried Trafalgar. Initially, signing up and paying for the trip went fine. But the customer support is awful. I’ve waited days for return emails and hours on end for return phone calls. Their recordings apologize for slow service but that only goes so far. They need to ramp up their staff to handle their sales volume.

I haven’t even gone on my trip yet and I will never use Trafalgar for another trip. I booked the Highlights of Eastern Europe trip for September 2022 in early 2022. After I booked the trip I got a new job and moved to a new city. Being a new employee I would not have enough leave to go on the trip. I notified Trafalgar in writing more than 90 days before the trip and requested to reschedule for September 2023. I received an email back canceling my reservation, which was paid in full, and instructing me to call when I was ready to reschedule. When I called to reschedule I was first told I couldn’t reschedule because the trip was less than 90 days. We went back and forth because I had given them notice in writing prior to the 90 days. Finally they allowed me to reschedule but raised the price. When I questioned it I was told there weren’t any deals at that time but if a deal became available to call back and they would give me that price. I originally paid $4095 for a single room and was now being charged $4795. So I checked online today and saw to book this trip today for a single room it would be $4195. I called Trafalgar to get my bill adjusted. They refused saying they don’t do that, even though I was told last summer to call back if the price went down. So I am stuck overpaying for this trip and I’m already disappointed with their customer service. I will never use this company to travel with again. Horrible customer service and they don’t stand by what they say. You can never get through when you call them. 2 hour wait times. I am now wondering what their customer service will be like during the trip. This is an expensive trip and I feel really let down and taken advantage of by this company. Corporate greed at its finest.

So trafalgar opts to take my elderly mothers money, and say thanks! No trip. No returned money. Just a nice “f*** you!” to my elderly mother! 3 YEARS OF FIGHTING!!!! TRAFALGAR IS A HORRIBLE, EVIL COMPANY!!!!

I waited 3 1/2 hours for a return call about a mistake on my itinerary and apparently the customer service person didn’t like my issue because he hung up on me.

I called back and have waited almost another 3 hours for a return call. They told me it would be 66 minutes.

Worst communication

It was the worst communication experience I have had with any service company.
Last month, I tried to book the "European Whirl" summer trip for family of four. Their customer service phone was always busy, the online chat was slow and the outsourced reps were not helpful. The only way to communicate was through email. But most emails were generated by system so they never really answered my questions. When I complained, I got an email like: we are extremely busy now, and the average call waiting time is more than 3 hours, you have to wait in the line just like everybody else...
It seems like they did not want to do business with me and I was begging them to take my money. So I ended up booking a similar trip with another company which I intentionally called three times just to make sure their customer service was working.
Absolutely Unbelievable!
