Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan and one of the most beautiful conical volcanoes in the world. Stop to admire the gorgeous landscape (weather permitting) of the park and lake Ashi. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Hakone. A sky gondola takes you to the Owakudani Valley’s extraordinary volcanic zone. A short walking trail leads you to bubbling pools where you observe how black-colored eggs are cooked in the hot waters blackened by sulfur in this volcanic valley. Enjoy a relaxing cruise around placid Lake Ashi before returning to your hotel in Tokyo. Learn about the many aspects of the Kimono, particularly its origins stemming from the traditional skills of Japanese dyeing and weaving. Following the explanation, select your favorite Kimono and assisted by an instructor learn the art of Kimono dressing. Afterward attend a tea ceremony and enjoy the austere taste of tea followed by a classic Japanese sweet. A tea master will teach you how to make tea and explain it’s connection to Zen Buddhism. The tea ceremony seeks to purify the mind and attain oneness with nature. Please note that transportation to & from the hotel is not included. OnDay : 5 Price : $140 Full Day Nikko Tour with lunch Nikko a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the entrance of the Nikko National Park, has served as a center for Shinto and Buddhist worship for centuries. It is home to several temples and shrines, including the Futarasan Shrine and the Rinnoji Temple. Visit the Toshogu Shrine, the mausoleum of the first Tokugawa Shogun, a gorgeous complex of colorful structures featuring the superb craftsmanship of Japan's 17th-century artisans. After an authentic Japanese-style lunch at a local restaurant. enjoy a visit to the Tamozawa Imperial Villa, one of the largest remaining wooden buildings in Japan. This fascinating villa, which is also a designated National Cultural Treasure, features architecture that spans three different periods: Edo, Meiji, and Taisho. Stroll through its 106 rooms and beautifully manicured Japanese gardens to explore the remnants of its illustrious past. Afterward, travel to the Kegon Waterfall, considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Nikko. The tour concludes near Shinjuku Station, one of Tokyo's most popular shopping and entertainments districts. Additional Information: Passengers booking the shuttle bus transfers should select flights that arrive in Tokyo between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm and depart between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm due to scheduled airport bus transfer times. Passengers arriving outside of these times will be required to either purchase a private transfer or take a taxi locally.
