Itinerary
Touch down in Kenya's hectic capital, Nairobi. For those arriving early, a visit to the National Museum is highly recommended. The city also boasts an enviable array of restaurants, bars and cafes well worth exploring.
Located just south of the equator, the Aberdare Range makes up part of the majestic eastern rim of the Great Rift Valley. Renowned for its mesmerising scenery and impressive wildlife, the park is one of Kenya's real natural wonders. Stay in a unique tree lodge – the A...
Head west to visit the vast Lake Nakuru National Park in the heart of the Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is justly famous for its visiting flocks of flamingos, pelicans, terns and cormorants, but there are plenty of land-dwelling animals as well. Rare Rothschild's giraffe and both black and white rhino can be spotted within the park's boundaries.
The iconic Masai Mara is one of Africa's most famous reserves and its sweeping plains play host to buffaloes, gazelles and various other herbivores. In turn, these well-fed creatures are prey for lions, leopards, cheetahs and other stealthy predators.
Return to Nairobi's urban sprawl for the night before continuing into Tanzania.
Try to spot Lake Manyara's legendary tree-climbing lions and watch out for the herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo roaming the surrounding plains of this stunning national park.
Travel to the Serengeti, where golden plains stretch as far as the eye can see. Venture through the wilderness and around rocky outcrops on safari to uncover the many animals that call the Serengeti home. Explore the national park at dawn and dusk, when both predator ...
Try to spot big cats lazing in the sun during an early-morning game drive. Soak up final views of the sweeping Serengeti plains while enjoying a picnic lunch, before travelling on to the immense Ngorongoro Crater. The following day, descend to the floor of volcanic Ngorongoro on a 4x4 safari. An abundance of species coexist in this area, including gazelle, zebra, buffalo and elephant.
Wind down through the Rift Valley to Tarangire National Park. Embark on a game drive through the acacia woodlands and expansive grasslands to our eco-lodge accommodation, keeping a keen eye out for herds of elephant and sauntering giraffe.
Return to Arusha. Why not get the group together for a final dinner and recount the trip highlights.

Tour Operator
It’s been more than 36 years since our first small group set out to discover Nepal. It’s this heritage and our reputation that keeps travellers coming back time and time again.
We appeal to the well-travelled, discerning traveller. The one who chooses value over price, and wants to immerse themselves in a place instead of just ticking landmarks off a bucket list. The type of person who would rather stay in a family run B&B built in a 16th century Venetian convent than a forgettable hotel. We’re for travellers who want inclusions along the way instead of fiddling around for loose change.
Almost 20 years ago, Peregrine led an industry revolution by solely employing locally born leaders. This innovative approach gives our travellers a deeper insight into the countries they visit. Doorways are opened and a true understanding of the place is fostered.
At Peregrine, we travel in intimate groups and take the time to get under the skin of a destination. Of course we all want to see the Taj Mahal in India. But imagine then heading to a remote Rajasthani village and learning about rural life while in the company of locals. Seeing the famous sites is a must, but it’s often the memory of wandering through a small village or sharing dinner with a local family that will leave a lasting impact.
We promise to share our knowledge and expertise with you, and ensure you will come home with stories you will tell for years to come.

Meals introduction
While travelling with us you'll experience the vast array of wonderful food available in the world. Your group leader will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip. On our camping trips we often cook the region's specialities so you don't miss out. To give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, generally not all meals are included in the trip price. This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There's no obligation to do this though.

Style descriptions
Comfort is your style of travel if you want the whole grassroots experience with more inclusions, meals and creature comforts. While accommodation is predominantly tourist class (3-4 star), on some itineraries there is the opportunity to stay with a local family, spend the night on a train or camp out in exotic places (without putting up your own tent of course). Along the way, you'll really experience the destination up close. You'll mingle with locals, enjoy a taste of their way of life and gain special insights from your leader. This is not luxury travel, but real world experiences - just with a softer landing!
