Itinerary
Day 1 Salt Lake City, Utah - Tour Begins
Join us for a journey featuring America’s most spectacular natural treasures as we visit the great states of Utah and Wyoming. Your adventure begins with a 2-night stay in Salt Lake City, the “City of the Saints.” Enjoy dinner at a rooftop restaurant with views overlooking Salt Lake City.
Day 2 Salt Lake City
Start the day with a comprehensive tour of Salt Lake City, featuring the capitol building, the charming residential district and the Great Salt Lake. Later, the choice is yours! Visit the Natural History Museum of Utah, a distinguished research and educational institution; explore its vast collection of geological, biological and cultural objects and exhibits. Or, experience the award-winning displays of the Red Butte Gardens, one of the nation's pre-eminent botanic gardens. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or perhaps explore Temple Square independently.
Day 4 Jackson Hole - Yellowstone National Park - Jackson Hole
Get ready! An amazing day awaits as you visit the incomparable Yellowstone National Park. The first and oldest national park in the world, Yellowstone sprawls across 3,470 square miles and touches three states. As we set out on a scenic drive, be on the lookout for large, free-roaming herds of buffalo. Of course, you couldn't visit Yellowstone without seeing its most iconic attraction: Old Faithful. Watch in amazement as this predictable geyser erupts, sending a fountain of steam more than 130 feet in the air! It's sure to be a sight you'll never forget.
Day 5 Jackson Hole
The day is yours. Explore Jackson Hole on your own or partake in some optional activities such as shopping, canoeing, hiking or river rafting. Tonight, step into your own Western during a fun-filled night featuring authentic cowboy entertainment and a chuck wagon dinner.*
Day 6 Jackson Hole - Grand Teton National Park - Jackson Hole
Enjoy today’s scenery as we make our way to the awe-inspiring Teton mountain range. Grand Teton National Park features the youngest peaks in the Rockies, yet it contains some of North America's oldest rock formations. Many of the Teton peaks rise above 12,000 feet and support a dozen mountain glaciers. None compares to the Grand Teton, which towers above the peaceful valley of Jackson Hole. Be sure to take some time to soak in the beauty of this majestic landscape. Return to Jackson Hole for more time to explore independently.
Day 7 Jackson Hole - Park City, Utah
Travel to Park City, home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, and one of the most spectacular settings in North America. Visit Utah Olympic Park and enjoy a short film that captures all the drama of the games. Explore the museum filled with inspiring Olympic memorabilia. Next, we visit Main Street. Lined with over 64 historic buildings, shops, galleries and boutiques, it’s picture-perfect.
Day 8 Park City - Tour Ends
Your tour comes to a close today, leaving you with many wonderful memories.
Day 3 Salt Lake City - Montpelier, Idaho - Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Travel north into the rugged splendor of Wyoming to the cowboy town of Jackson Hole. En route, stop at the Oregon Trail Museum in Montpelier, Idaho for an interpretive adventure. Imagine being a part of history during an 1850s simulated wagon train experience and dive into the life of the explorers who lived here as you learn about their adventures. Then, make your way to your home for the next four nights, the cowboy town of Jackson Hole. It’s often referred to as the “Crown Jewel” of the Northern Rockies. This stunningly beautiful town has been the setting for many of our favorite American western movies...Big Trail starring John Wayne; Shane with Alan Ladd; and The Mountain Men headlined by Charlton Heston were all filmed here.
