Overview

Short Description

What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but a hearty yell into the canyons of the American Southwest will return with an echo from across the abyss. A night at the slot machines segues into a gauntlet of slot canyons in Zion National Park—a maze of cream, pink, and red sculpted sandstone—and the crimson amphitheaters of Bryce Canyon’s red rock hoodoos and goblins. And what prolific artists were water and wind to create such masterpieces of sand and stone in Arches National Park—with 2,000 red sandstone arches and fins carved among inexplicable balancing rock formations. As the earth below your feet retreats further from the sun, a night sky like no other eclipses the day after the sunset has spilled its painted light through the archways at dusk. More stars are in your future as your Canyonlands escape follows the tracks of horse wranglers and Native hunters in Dead Horse Point State Park outside Moab. Each dark sky night is a starry feast for the eyes from every rocky vantage point—where Native ancestral tribes and wild Mustangs once ruled its mesas 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. The grand finale is the Grand Canyon itself—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and holy ground for its first peoples. No wonder!

It was a great itinerary. Bath was a delightful town. The stop for gingerbread was great, the gingerbread was amazing, and the town was so quaint, it was like stepping back in time. The Bath hotel was very close to the action, predominantly because it’s such a small town. I wish all the hotels could’ve been that close to the action; however, they were close to public transportation for the most part (except Liverpool). Going during the holiday time was a great decision, the Christmas markets going on, and the Christmas lights are up.

Mostly the country. Lovely, lovely! The tour is not for anyone with even the slightest mobility issues. I am in good shape but the walking was hard on my knees.

WARNING TO TRAVELERS USING GLOBUS FAMILY OF BRANDS TO BOOK VACATIONS

My dream trip of a 10-day European vacation turned into a nightmare with Globus Family of Brands! Despite completing 2 of 3 payments, and paying in full for business class airfare, Globus cancelled my trip after I missed the last payment by two weeks, citing “failure to pay” as the reason for the cancellation.

Globus failed to provide notification of a final payment being due by either phone or email. Traveler requested proof of email notifications sent and Globus was unable to produce.

Globus offers no option for the set up of automatic payments.

Globus failed to provide notification of the cancellation. Traveler became aware only when a proactive call was placed to check on trip activities because of an inability to log into portal (portal had been deleted by Globus).

Globus refused to rebook and allow me to pay in full. Company ceased communication after repeated attempts by email for resolution. Repeated requests ignored.

Globus stated that they are keeping $3700 + dollars as penalty. Repeated attempts for an exact amount have been ignored by both phone and email. Please note that a minimum of $3700 was paid in order for Globus to keep the money as a penalty. Showing in fact, that the traveler did not fail to pay.

Despite multiple attempts to reach a resolution, Globus stopped responding, displaying a shocking lack of regard for customer service.

Calls were recorded. Globus has refused request for call recordings or transcripts.

All email communication has been saved.
