This 7-night Iceland vacation is sure to thrill any adventure-seeker! Begin in Reykjavik, where you'll have a night to adjust to your new surroundings. Then, hop in your rental car to experience the rest of the country!
Visit the Borgarfjordur area, Hella/Hvolsvollur area, Hofn, and the Kirkjubaejarklaustur area during your travels. Go sightseeing, soak up the incredible natural beauty, and fill your days however you please! Included during your time are two adventure tours. First, you'll go snowmobiling on Myrdalsjokull Glacier. Then, you'll take a walk on Solheimajokull Glacier! Be sure to charge your camera and pack warm clothing!
Lastly, you'll return to Reykjavik for your final night. Celebrate the end of your grand adventure by treating yourself to a beautiful dinner!
Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Reykjavik!
Upon arrival, you'll pick up your rental car at the Keflavik Airport. Make your way to Reykjavik and check into your hotel! Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 2 Reykjavik - Borgarfjordur area
Dine on breakfast before driving to your next destination! Known for its rugged but beautiful landscape, the Borgarfjordur area is a great way to explore and experience Icelandic culture! From geothermal baths to horseback riding to golfing and so much more, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Day 3 Borgarfjordur area
Spend today at leisure! Consider a visit to the nearby Krauma geothermal baths, a few pints at Stedji Brewery, or a simple day relaxing at your hotel!
Day 4 Borgarfjordur area - Hella/Hvolsvollur area
This morning, you'll make your way to your next destination within the Hella/Hvolsvollur area in Southwest Iceland! Consider stopping along the way to see the Gullfoss Waterfall or the Geysir hot spring area!
Day 5 Hella/Hvolsvollur area - Hofn
Today, embark on a Snowmobile adventure on Myrdalsjokull Glacier! Then, continue onto Southern Iceland where you'll check into your next hotel.
Day 6 Hofn - Kirkjubaejarklaustur area
Today, you'll experience a Glacial Wonders Walk on Solheimajokull Glacier! Check into your next hotel in the Kirkjubaejarklaustur area-- try saying that five times fast!
Day 7 Kirkjubaejarklaustur area - Reykjavik
After breakfast, drive back to Reykjavik for the final day of your trip! Spend it however you please, but be sure to grab any last-minute souvenirs! Celebrate the end of your trip tonight with a delicious dinner in town.
Day 8 Depart Iceland
Today, you'll make your way to the Keflavik Airport where you'll drop off your rental car and board your flight home!
