Spend the rest of the time at leisure as you discover the natural wonders of this incredible country.
Continue on with a flight to Copenhagen! This picturesque city originated as a fishing village, as witnessed if you walk along the Nyhavn waterfront. Visit the many sights of the city, including Tivoli Gardens, the Strøget, Freetown Christiania, and more! Your time here includes a Grand Canal tour of the city! Don't forget to try Smørrebrød before you pack up your belongings and fly home!
Itinerary
Day 1 Welcome to Reykjavik!
Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival at Reykjavik/Keflavik Airport, you’ll take a Flybus transfer to your hotel in Reykjavik. (The transfer coaches are parked outside the arrival hall, and are marked “Flybus”). The remainder of the day is yours at leisure, to begin exploring this vibrant city! This evening, you’ll be picked up at your hotel for the Northern Lights tour. Watching the fantastic colors of the Northern Lights dance across the arctic sky is an unforgettable experience, and Iceland is one of the best places to see them. They are mostly observed on crisp, still evenings, and the tour heads away from the city lights to give you the best chance of witnessing this spectacular natural phenomenon.
Day 2 Reykjavik
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day, guided tour of Iceland’s most incredible “must-see” natural wonders and geological phenomena – the famed Golden Circle.
Day 3 Reykjavik
Enjoy a full free day at leisure. Although the city of Reykjavík is a metropolis in every sense, it's been carefully developed and crafted around a number of easily accessible recreational areas and country parks. With an extensive network of well-maintained footpaths and cycling routes winding through the city’s numerous parks and nature reserves, you won’t have to travel far to take a quick break from city life and explore nature. Don't forget to stop by the famous church; consider climbing up to the top for sweeping views of the city below!
Day 4 Reykjavik
Spend today exploring Reykjavik at leisure. Explore the culture house or one of the many art museums. Or perhaps you'd like to stroll through the colorful streets and shop the boutiques.
Day 5 Reykjavik - Copenhagen, Denmark
Today, you'll be transferred to the Keflavik Airport for your flight to Copenhagen! Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel. Check in, drop your bags, and continue your trip with a celebratory meal in beautiful Copenhagen!
Day 6 Copenhagen
Today, take advantage of your included tour of the Grand Canal of Copenhagen. You'll get to sit back and relax as sights drift by. Later, get your dose of art at Copenhagen's great museums like the National Museum and Glyptotek. End the day with an indulgent meal at one of the city's Michelin-starred restaurants.
Day 7 Copenhagen
Pay a visit to Freetown Christiania, a self-governing community in Copenhagen with its own currency and even its own flag! Founded in 1971 on an abandoned military base, the community is full of art galleries, restaurants, cafes, street art and historic buildings. In the evenings you may even be lucky enough to be treated to a live concert where you can mingle with the locals!
Day 8 Depart Denmark
Make your way to the airport in time for your flight home!
