Arrive in Milan and be seduced and smitten by this ever-stylish, always-on-display city of food and fashion.
Delve into Milan’s past and present on a guided morning walking tour. Head out to Lake Como for a stroll through this lakeside slice of pictorial perfection.
Set out on an optional hike up Mount Grona for unrivalled vistas, or amble your way around Menaggio. Catch a ferry over to Varenna – considered by many to be Italy’s most romantic town. Explore the equally charming lakeside villages of Tremezzo and Bellagio.
Hop on a boat to discover some beautiful villages, villas and gardens in and around Lake Como. Visit the grand white Villa Melzi, stop by the lakeside village of Tremezzo, explore the charming village of Varenna, deemed by some as the most romantic town in all of Italy and take a trip to see Fiumelatte, the curious ‘River of Milk’.
Kick back with a chinotto in Chiavenna before continuing on to Switzerland’s St. Moritz area. Travel out to the Morteratsch Glacier for a picnic lunch with incredible views, before heading to Tirano via one of the world’s most stunning train journeys.
Drive through more sensational mountain ranges – including the Dolomites – on the way to Riva del Garda. Meander the cobbled streets and splendid scenery of Lake Garda’s Limone, explore the ruins of Garda’s medieval castle, and wander along San Vigilio’s peninsula.
After breakfast, drive to Verona where this spectacular adventure draws to a close.

Meals introduction
While travelling with us you'll experience the vast array of wonderful food available in the world. Your group leader will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip. To give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, generally not all meals are included in the trip price. This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There's no obligation to do this though.

Style descriptions
Comfort is your style of travel if you want the whole grassroots experience with more inclusions, meals and creature comforts. While accommodation is predominantly tourist class (3-4 star), on some itineraries there is the opportunity to stay with a local family, spend the night on a train or camp out in exotic places (without putting up your own tent of course). Along the way, you'll really experience the destination up close. You'll mingle with locals, enjoy a taste of their way of life and gain special insights from your leader. This is not luxury travel, but real world experiences - just with a softer landing!
