Day 1: Begin Your Adventure In Boston
The Cradle of Liberty is your gateway to an Atlantic adventure filled with quiet harbor towns, lighthouses and windswept coastlines. After check-in, enjoy free time to explore Boston, before joining your Travel Director and travel companions for a Welcome Reception this evening.
Day 2: Tour The Red Bricks Of Boston
Connect with the living history of Boston this morning, joining a Local Specialist for a leisurely walk along the city's red brick Freedom Trail. Next, brush shoulders with the intellectuals of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) touring the prestigious campus with a current student to gain insights into college life.
Day 3: Relax In Martha's Vineyard
A scenic ferry ride takes us “on island” to the summer retreat of the rich and famous, Martha's Vineyard. Join your Travel Director for a guided sightseeing tour of the island – its brightly painted cottages, colorful farmers’ markets and quiet beaches, then indulge in a Regional Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Entice Your Taste Buds In Cape Cod
Begin your tour out on the water, cruising by ferry from Martha’s Vineyard to our next destination, Cape Cod. Next up, the bright blooms of lovely gardens beckon as we stroll through the Hidden Gem Heritage Museum & Gardens of Sandwich, Cape Cod's oldest town. Soak up the 100 acres of expansive gardens of trees and shrubs, designed gardens, exquisite flowers and sweeping lawns. From fall’s blazing foliage to summer’s brilliant hydrangeas and daylilies, the gardens are a delight any time of year and one of the prettiest ways to experience Cape Cod. In the galleries you’ll find a collection of American Folk Art, a vintage carousel you can ride, important American automobiles from the brass age to the present, and more traveling exhibits. Later, Connect With Locals and get an insider experience of what life is like in Cape Cod with a private meal with the owners of a local restaurant. Savor tasty seafood while you gain a deeper understanding of the thriving dining scene on Cape Cod in this Be My Guest lunch.
Day 5: Roam The Dunes Of Cape Cod
Visit the popular fishing port of Provincetown before embarking on a one-hour 4WD tour of the sand dunes along the Cape Cod National Sea Shore. Your sandy journey will take you past wispy beach grass and dune shacks where famous artists and writers were once inspired to create their art. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps sample the local dishes of clam chowder or Portuguese kale soup for which the Cape Cod area is so renowned.
Day 6: Wander The Cranberry Bogs
Get your fill of cranberries as you explore the largest agricultural cooperative of cranberry growers in the world. Visit area cranberry bogs, some dating back to the 1800's. Explore the region’s whaling heritage and its connection to the local community next, joining a Local Specialist for an insightful visit to the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Spend the rest of the evening on your own, admiring the city’s beautiful colonial-era architecture and sophisticated style.
Day 7: Newport Your Way
This morning, you'll enjoy Your Choice sightseeing with a visit to one of Newport's renowned landmarks—The Vanderbilt's Breakers Mansion, a “summer cottage” called The Elms Mansion or the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which pays tribute to the players and contributors to this sport. This afternoon, perhaps join an optional sail around Newport Harbor. Our journey through the gateway of the New World almost at its end, we join our fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner.

Company Reviews
Best of Italy Tour for 13 days, really 11 days. Recommendation: Do NOT take a Trafalgar Tour of any kind!
1) Could ONLY understand about 10 % of the travel director's harangue. Her name was Frederica. The same situation occurred in Egypt.
2) The bus driver named Theo was surly and rude.
3) The Travel Director constantly sold the extra excursions. These were 2.5 times more expensive then privately-made tours. Example in Rome--Crown Tours.
4) The food was terrible.
5) The hotels were at best 2-3 star. NO AC, low water pressure, and the breakfasts were poor.
6) Many hours were spent most days on the bus--4-8 hours. There were 49 passengers on this bus! You could not relax on the bus because the tour director constantly was speaking and selling optional excursions. Again, could not understand but 10 % of what she said.
7) We pre-paid gratuities, but wished that we had not done so. Neither the driver nor Travel Director thanked us. We will not prepay again, however, we will NEVER take another Trafalgar Tour.
