All that’s needed is a desire to have fun, and Monograms will take care of the rest. We’ve arranged hotel reservations for you, sightseeing, daily breakfast, transportation between cities, and transfers to/from the train stations. Plus, we’ve arranged for you to have a Local Host®, someone who is there for you in both cities to make sure your vacation runs seamlessly. On your first day, your Local Host will meet you at your hotel in Geneva and give you materials to help you get settled and personalize your vacation. The next morning, after an included breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your hotel for your Monograms sightseeing with an expert local guide. You’ll hear insider stories and see Jet d’Eau, the world’s tallest fountain, and St. Peter’s Cathedral, best known for John Calvin’s inspiring sermons in the mid-16th century. In your spare time, wander around the Old Town with its cobblestone streets or perhaps take a cruise on the lake. In Lucerne, your sightseeing tour includes the Lion Monument, carved out of rock to commemorate the Swiss Guards massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, and Chapel Bridge, built in the 14th century and now the most photographed monument in Switzerland. In your leisure time, perhaps rent a paddle boat on the lake or join a Swiss folklore party to listen to experts yodel and blow the alphorn. But that’s not all! Your package also includes an excursion to Chamonix and Mont Blanc in France, the highest peak in the Alps and Western Europe. Ride a cable car to a 12,391-foot-high peak (3,777-meters-high), where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Chamonix Valley and the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps. A lift brings you to the summit terrace at 12,605 feet (3,842 meters), where you’ll have spectacular panoramas. We’ve also included first-class transportation on the train from Geneva to Lucerne!
