Enjoy your first day in South Africa at your leisure.

Day 2 Cape Town

On your first full day in Cape Town, enjoy a scenic tour of the Cape Peninsula led by an English-speaking guide. Visit Cape Point, Chapman's Peak and Boulders Beach!

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a sunset stroll on the historic V&A Waterfront right outside your hotel.

Day 3 Cape Town

Today, enjoy fabulous wine and see beautiful landscapes on a full-day Winelands tour! Highlights include the Paarl Wine Region, Franschhoek Valley, and the town of Stellenbosch.

Day 4 Cape Town

Begin your last day in Cape Town with a half-day tour taking you to the top of the iconic Table Mountain and the lush Company Gardens.

After the tour, consider a visit to District Six Museum which celebrates the multi-racial area of Cape Town that was destroyed by apartheid in the 1960s and 1970s.

Day 5 Cape Town - Kruger National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit Airport. Then, enjoy a transfer to your lodge in Kruger National Park! Enjoy the next few days experiencing exclusive safari adventures.

Go on morning and late afternoon game safaris on the private reserve, enjoy other activities at the lodge, or simply relax in the peaceful surrounds of the African bush.

Day 6 Kruger National Park

Spend your first full day exploring the African savannah! Situated within thousands of acres of pristine wilderness and adjacent to Kruger National Park, Thornybush Nature Reserve is truly a nature lover's dream come true.

Enjoy two safari games in the morning and afternoon and get up close to some of your favorite wild animals. Snap amazing photos of the Big 5, plus many other mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians.

Day 7 Kruger National Park

On your second and last full day at Thornybush Nature Reserve, explore more of the facilities at the lodge. Dine on fresh and delicious cuisine at the restaurant and enjoy a relaxing spa treatment. Sip a glass of 'Cap Classique' sparkling wine as you watch the golden sun dip over the savannah.

Day 8 Kruger National Park - Johannesburg

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure, perhaps by strolling the multi-cultural old city that's a mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks and ultra modern skyscrapers.

Day 9 Johannesburg

Today you will learn about South Africa's complicated past on a full-day "Journey to Freedom" tour, taking you to important landmarks dotted throughout the city.

Day 10 Depart South Africa

Say goodbye to South Africa as you transfer to Johannesburg's airport. Take one last look at the city below as you fly home.

As a reminder, we had contacted Viator that we arrived an hour early. Understandable, we had a 1 p.m. PU time. They said he could come at 12:45. It was 1:17 and we called back. They said he would arrive in a few minutes. We are 65. A man came over to us and said "I am taking a chance are you ? naming my first name". Other drivers were holding signs in the area. Then, FOUR TIMES WITH LUGGAGE, he stepped off with us on each floor and couldn't find his car. Then, he gets about to the hotel wherein it if a small side road going the oppoisite way and said "can I enter here"? We walked about 3 doors down to the hotel. I reported this to Viator for half credit as we have used Viator before. They sent an emal that they cannot offer us anything back. I will never use them in the future, nor will I recommend them.

The vacation went well. Our only complaint with the package was the luggage allowance for the flights was not clear up-front. This package was for 8 days to London and Paris, and the package allowed no checked luggage which could have been OK, but weight limit for carry-on was just 22 pounds. Considering the weight of the suitcase, this is not a lot of stuff for 8 days in DEC. So had to purchase checked bags which was quite a bit. Paris Hotel in much better neighborhood than London, but was much smaller. Both locations very good for breakfast and for transit.

Both hotels were well situated; full service breakfasts incl. in both. The one in Copenhagen was fine; the one in Stockholm was larger, had more amenities incl. a good restaurant/bar. The boat tours were comprehensive. The train ride betw. the cities showed us the countryside. Tivoli Gardens & the historic Christmas market in Stockholm dating back to the early 1800’s were glorious. Recommend dinner along the canals. A lovely tour although a bit short; a couple more days would have been nice.
