Beds need to be firmer and pillows higher. The accommodation was very surprisingly for the outback, in a good way. Definitely where given plenty of food and options...
Uluru (Ayers Rock) Tour Selection Trips
- Though there is a walkway available to climb to the top of Uluru, this activity is widely frowned upon today. Uluru is a sacred sight, to the native aboriginals, who regard walking upon the rock as disrespectful. However, the view from atop is undeniable and if you really want to climb (a strenuous, very steep walk), you can.
- Uluru is way out in the Australian outback where shade is hard to come by. If you're visiting in the summer months, prepare accordingly with a lot of water, sunscreen, and hat to sheild you from the glaring Australian sun.
- Even if you're not a morning person, do not pass up a chance to go on a dawn tour of Uluru. Not only will few people be there, the light is spectacular and it won't be nearly as warm.
